Recognize by drawing

I only see some details when I look closely because I want to draw. Before I even put a line on the paper, I look at the landscape, divide it into structure-like areas or measure distances with my eyes - what is closer, what is further, how big am I in relation to it and how small something appears. It happens again and again that I recognize something that I had not seen before. I discover a detail that I would never have noticed in passing and probably would not have noticed while taking quick photos. How many trees do you see here? At first I thought it was one.
