...there you are. This book by Jon Kabat-Zinn has apparently been famous for a long time - I only discovered it a few weeks ago. The description of meditation and the exercises at the end of each chapter are beautifully written. So also beautiful, simple words! I find it authentic that Jon Banat-Zinn also talks about his initial difficulties and gives pragmatic tips on how to integrate meditation into life. In English there are words that describe it so clearly and beautifully - I hadn't thought about it before, but now it encourages me to use the book chapter by chapter to draw comparisons to my mother tongue and what is explained how. I think "Mindfulness" is such a nice word. And that in the apparent contrast to letting go of everything and practicing emptiness through value-free meditation. Let go, perceive.

Since I've been meditating for a long time, it is only while reading that I realize what all of this can mean and how what can work. So - my book tip - where it is also about the hand position and the effect of it, where it is about integrating the exercises into everyday life and where it is simply a pleasure to read the short, very understandably written chapters several times in a row, sometimes just one . A very good introduction to the subject of meditation, which is clarifying even after years of experience.
